Committees & Advisory Councils
Each year, Board members are tasked with serving on committees that play a critical role in advancing the school system's governance. These include the Academic Achievement Committee, Audit Committee, Operations, Budget, Fiscal Affairs Committee, Policy and Governance Committee, and advisory councils. Each holds public meetings at least once a month. Below are the committees that Board Member Briggs is currently serving on and those previously served.
School Year 2025-2026
Board Member Briggs serves as chair of the Academic Achievement Committee and as a member of the Policy & Governance Committee and the Board and Superintendent Evaluation Committee for the 2025-2026 school year.

Board Member Briggs served as chair and vice chair of the Policy and Governance Committee, as well as a member of the Operations, Budget, and Fiscal Affairs Committee, the District Steering Committee for Community Schools, and the Audit Committee, during the 2024-2025 school year.
School Year 2023-2024
Board Member Briggs served as vice-chair, then chair of the Policy and Governance Committee, and liaison for the Parent and Community Advisory Council during the 2023-2024 school year.
